To all who serve and who have served

Welcome to Lake Township, a place where you will find a Recreational, Residential, Rural and Agricultural atmosphere.  We are located  in Michigan's Lower Peninsula 120 miles  North of  Detroit at  the Tip of  the  Michigan Thumb.  We boast 6 miles of sandy shoreline, facing Lake Huron in the Saginaw Bay.  We have pristine wooded areas, State Parks, County Parks, Hiking Trails, Good Fishing, Water Sports, Scenic Turn out and summer rentals.

Time – 7:30 PM ( 6:30 PM December – February )

Day – Third Monday of the month

Last Monday in March @ 7:00 PM

Officials’ office hours vary.

It is best to call ahead or make an appointment if you need

to speak to a Township Official.

Planning Board Meetings

Township Hall

Time – 7:00 PM

Day – Fourth Wednesday of the month except

 November and December

Workshop meetings may be scheduled at other times and posted.

Zoning Board of Appeals

Township Hall

Time  - 7:30 PM  on  Wednesdays upon appeal application

Monday and Friday  10:00 AM to 12:00 PM 

 Wednesday  10:00 AM to 1:00 PM

Building Inspector

Township Hall

Mondays and Wednesdays from 10:00 AM to 12:00 Noon

Fire Board  (CAFPA) meets every first & third Wednesday at 7:00 PM at the fire hall in Caseville.
