PROPER RECYCLING  PREPARATION

Following the directions listed below will make it much easier for our center to process your recyclables.  We  appreciate your help making the job easier.

RINSE  AND REMOVE ALL CAPS AND LIDS ON CONTAINERS!  FOOD RESIDUE, ESPECIALLY FOODS WITH OIL, I.E. SALAD DRESSINGS, CAT FOOD, TUNA, WILL CONTAMINATE THE PRODUCT.

LABELS DO NOT NEED TO BE REMOVED

  • WE ACCEPT #1 AND #2 PLASTIC CONTAINERS.  ALL OTHER PLASTICS ARE UNACCEPTABLE.  (I.E.  NO BUTTER TUBS, NO PLASTIC FOOD TRAYS, NO PLASTIC "TO GO" TRAYS, NO ICE CREAM TUBS, NO YOGURT CONTAINERS, NO PUDDING CUPS, NO POTATO CHIP CONTAINERS, NO COOL WHIP TUBS, NO PLASTIC CUTLERY, NO PLASTIC HANGERS, NO PLASTIC RACKS).

  • PLEASE KEEP PLASTIC BAGS SEPARATE FROM OTHER PLASTICS.

  • PAPER TYPES MAY BE COMINGLED

  • CARDBOARD AND BOXBOARD MAY BE COMINGLED.  PLEASE FLATTEN.

  • IT IS VERY HELPFUL IF YOUR RECYCLABLES ARE SORTED. BUT IF NOT SORTED, PLEASE DO NOT PUT YOUR RECYCLABLES IN TRASH BAGS.  THIS MAKES IT HARD FOR US TO DETERMINE WHAT IS IN THE BAG.  WE HAVE FOUND THAT IN MOST CASES, THERE IS A LOT OF TRASH MIXED INTO THESE BAGS.

THANK YOU FOR YOUR COOPERATION AND PARTICIPATION IN OUR RECYCLING PROGRAM
